minor problems but works great
Id give it - well, my kids would - five stars, where it not for the bug that makes you reconfigure the controls EVERY time you play the game. Custom controls was something even the old Amiga 500 games would store on diskette. Please fix this, it cant be -that- hard… Besides, you cannot type too quickly while configuring the controls as you can change the keys while doing so, you must wait for one complete "blink" cycle before moving onto the next one.
This game has the best graphics it could ever have! I love this game and never will stop playing!
I like the game and think that the idea was great BUT, it froze as soon as I got to year seven and used the apparation point inside the tent, which immediately put me in London. So I am thinking, ok, but how do I get back? I followed the ghost to where he disappeared, and then saw a pink Hermione Granger baseplate and thought I could use it. WRONG! The game just wouldnt let me use it, no matter how hard that I tried. Having sent a complaint to Feral Interactive, my only advice was to start the game over again. So I got up to the part in year 5 where Harry becomes the leader of the DA in the Gryffindor common room and then my game froze. Now naturally, I restarted the game and tried again. It still didnt work! I tried hard again and again and again. But still no luck. The game is great but WOW! What a BUG!
1. Does not run games. 2. If running is not the end game. 3. The games not even save So, I need a refund.
Game constantly freezes at Snape’s Memory final cutscene in year 5. Waste of money if you can’t play the game… If this gets fixed, I would highly recommend it. Until then, don’t waste your money.
It keeps crashing in the same place during the Fiendryre Frenzy. Its the after the second cutscnene when Harry and Hermione are getting the diadem. It doesnt matter how long it took to get there or what youre doing during that scene. It always freezes and then crashes a couple of seconds into that scene. Ive had a bit of lag-time with previous episodes, but this is the only one that has consistently crashed. Please fix this.
I loved years 1-4. This one… meh. As mentioned by previous reviewers, the controls need to be reset every time you exit the game. Also, I’ve run into an issue in year 5 where every time I reach a certain point in the game the jump button stops working. If the game it unplayable, it’s worthless and a waste of my $20.
I’m using a normal macbook pro from last year. The previous game (years 1 - 4) had great graphics settings that machted my resolution perfectly, and the UI elements like the characters on the top left and right were always proportioned right. Now with HP years 5 - 7 there are very limited resultions, none that really use my full display res, and the UI elements are always squished unless I play using the lowest graphics setting, which looks horrible and leaves back strips on either side of the game. It’s just not worth playing like this. HP 1 - 4 was the best looking lego game i’ve played yet. What happened with this one? Why change the settings when they were working perfectly before? Also, my progress doesn’t save.
I have yet to play this game, it seems fun. I Am Excited. It is loading, it is loading as I am sitting here writing this. This is the greatest post ever written. Read it back to forth. You must go and get a glass of water to drink. One day Martynas woke up and got up out of bed and then washed his face, water felt cold. The game is still Installing. I am Waiting on it. See, I want to look at the status, but I am not yet done with the Review, yet. Do you Know how Excellent that is for you? Spirulina. Drink it. Eat it. Be It.
Please update the game to include a fix to the controller configuration bug. I’ve had a number of other LEGO games and this is the only one I have that requires me to re-bind the controls every time. At least let the deault bindings be the same as the defaults in LEGO Harry Potter 1-4. Why is that not a thing? Why would I learn how to use spels and different commands in one game and then move to the sequel in the same LEGO franchise and have the default commands change? What is going on? Make the default commands the same across both games! What is going on in the committee?
